Binance Receives Permission to Operate in Argentina from Argentina’s Regulator
Binance’s Head of Latin America Guilherme Nazar said that by registering with the financial regulator, the exchange has provided Argentines with the ability to legally buy and sell cryptocurrencies. He emphasized that Binance is committed to complying with the regulatory requirements of both Argentine and international regulators.
To be included in the register of regulated crypto services in Argentina, platforms are required to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) regulations. In addition, crypto exchanges are required to conduct a KYC procedure.
Binance’s registration comes amid a meeting between Argentine President Javier Milei and El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, both of whom support Bitcoin.
