Coin Center, a non-profit organization focusing on cryptocurrency policy, is approaching its tenth anniversary this year. Coin Center CEO Jerry Brito and senior consultant Robin Weisman will step down at the end of this year, withdraw from actual operations and management, and hand over to their successors.
Dedicate ten years to Coin Center and will give the successor team
Brito said that during the ten years he founded Coin Center and served as CEO, it was the greatest honor in his life to be able to work side by side with a group of talented, interesting and efficient teams. He also expressed special thanks to senior consultant Weisman for his dedication and described Weisman as "General Manager". She can make up for her own shortcomings and be the strongest backing. Thank you very much for her help. Although the two will step down at the end of the year, Coin Center will retain their board positions but will not participate in actual operations and management.
Looking back at the period when Coin Center was founded in 2014, Brito was unsure whether governments would curb the growth of Bitcoin. While Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are technically unstoppable, there are many who are trying to stifle Bitcoin’s development in the short term. Brito said Coin Center’s goal at the time was to buy enough time for Bitcoin to “stand out.” And today, we achieved it!
Finally, Brito also reminded everyone that this "fight" is not over yet, and you must remain vigilant at all times to avoid excessive interference or surveillance by governments or other institutions, and continue to fight for the future of cryptocurrency. As the new team takes over, Coin Center will continue to grow and meet future challenges while looking forward to its development in the next ten years.
