On Monday, former President Donald Trump announced that the whitelist for World Liberty Financial (WLF) is now open to qualified individuals. Addressing his 91 million followers on X, he called it “an opportunity for them to be a part of this historic moment.”
Trump World Liberty Financial Whitelist’s Latest Cryptocurrency Project Is Now Live
According to the WLF website, worldlibertyfinancial.com, the know-your-customer (KYC) process for the Trump family’s decentralized finance (defi) project has been initiated. This information comes after details were released in mid-September about the Trump defi project, which will include a coin called the WLFI token, 63% of which will be offered to the public under the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Regulation D rules.
On September 30, Trump contacted his X followers, explaining that the WLF whitelist had begun. “I promised to Make America Great Again, this time with crypto,” Trump said. “[World Liberty Financial] is planning to make America the crypto capital of the world! The whitelist for qualified people is officially open — this is your chance to be a part of this historic moment.”
Visitors to the site are prompted to select whether they reside in or outside the United States, and are then directed to begin the KYC process. Users are asked to connect their Web3 wallet, which serves as a KYC identifier for verification. “We will use this to check if you have completed the KYC process, if it is pending review, or if any action is required,” the site explains.
Additional information about the WLF is only available to individuals who complete the KYC process. Currently, Trump is in a tight race with 2024 Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, as shown by national polls and prediction markets. Trump has mentioned that his newfound interest in cryptocurrency began when he launched his non-fungible token (NFT) project, amazed at the number of transactions made using cryptocurrency.
Over the past year, Trump has pursued a number of merchandise ventures. In addition to Trump NFTs, he has launched the Trump 'Victory' Tourbillon watch, 'Never Surrender High-Tops' sneakers, Trump Bitcoin sneakers, a first-edition Trump silver coin, a Trump-themed Bible, and even a Trump-branded perfume called 'Victory47'.
