Ethereum is Facing Scalability Limits

Vitalik Buterin, has sounded the alarm about the Ethereum network's scalability, saying it is worryingly close to reaching its limits.

He called on the community to work together to increase the number of blobs to scale the network and allow layer 2 protocols to increase capacity.

In a recent discussion with developers, Buterin revealed that the blob space is currently around 75% full.

This means that Ethereum is approaching its data processing capacity limits, which could lead to congestion and increased transaction fees.

The number of blobs in each Ethereum block is currently capped at six, but Buterin believes this number should be increased to eight to meet the growing demand for layer 2 solutions.
