Telegram game Hamster Kombat has announced its roadmap for the rest of 2024 and 2025, including the launch of a Web3 gaming platform to expand its game portfolio.
In the last quarter of 2024, they will integrate external payment systems, launch new games in the Hamster ecosystem, and integrate NFTs as in-game assets.
The Hamster Kombat team says it is in a “unique position” to create a Web3 gaming platform thanks to its industry players and developers, along with the technology and experience to make it easier for developers.
After its launch, Hamster Kombat quickly attracted millions of players, with 239 million users in the first 81 days and now has over 300 million users.
Hamster Kombat hopes to retain users after airdrop, is it “possible”?
On September 23, Hamster Kombat announced an airdrop event, with 131 million users (43% of the total) eligible to receive it. The team banned 2.3 million players for cheating.
To address the challenge of retaining users after the airdrop, Hamster Kombat has a strategy to preserve token value, with 11.25% of tokens vesting and unlocking 10 months after listing. The team expects the token value to increase as the project grows.
Hamster Kombat Plans to Buy Back Tokens and Burn Tokens
Hamster Kombat will launch a dedicated advertising network in December 2024, with revenue from this network used to buy back and burn tokens and distribute rewards to players. The buybacks are meant to stabilize the price, while the burns create scarcity, which can increase the value.
In 2025, they plan to create an NFT marketplace, host a competitive clan championship, and implement the second phase of the airdrop.
