PANews reported on September 16 that according to Jin Shi, Trump was suspected of encountering another assassination attempt:
1. A shooting occurred near Trump's golf club in Florida at around 1:30 p.m. local time on the weekend.
2. The Secret Service found a man with a rifle near the fence of Trump's golf course. The Secret Service then exchanged fire with the suspect and fired at least 4 shots. But it is not clear whether the suspect fired the gun.
3. Trump was playing golf when the gunfire broke out. He was immediately put on a golf cart and taken to a safe place in the clubhouse. No one was injured.
4. A witness said he saw a man running out of the bushes and jumping into a black SUV. The witness took a photo of the suspect's car and license plate.
5. The suspect's SUV was stopped on I-95 in Martin County and the man was detained. Police interviewed witnesses and confirmed that the suspect was arrested correctly.
6. After the shooting, police found an AK-47 rifle, two backpacks and a sports camera in the bushes near the golf course. It is believed that the AK-47 rifle has a scope.
7. The White House made a statement on the shooting: Biden and Harris have been briefed on the incident and are glad that Trump is safe and sound.
8. Trump responded: I was playing golf when the shots were fired. I'm fine. The Secret Service did a great job.
9. Law enforcement officials in Palm Beach County, Florida, said that when the shooting occurred, Trump was about 400 to 500 yards (365.76-457.2 meters) away from the gunman.
