#Ripple has recently issued more RLUSD stablecoins, according to data shared by the "Ripple Stablecoin Tracker" account on X (formerly known as Twitter), with details from Etherscan. This shows that Ripple Labs has continued minting new RLUSD tokens following the recent introduction of this stablecoin.
On the Ethereum blockchain, Ripple's RLUSD Treasury minted 90 dollar-backed stablecoins earlier today. While this was reported Over 24 hours ago, it wasn’t the only issuance for the day. In total, 402 RLUSD stablecoins were minted today, as per the tracker’s data.
After a short pause, the minting of RLUSD resumed, with the previous mint occurring on September 6, when 85 stablecoins were issued, most of which were burned shortly afterward as part of testing. The RLUSD Treasury first began minting at the end of August. These tokens are pegged to the U.S. dollar and backed by dollar deposits, short-term U.S. treasuries, and other liquid assets.
To ensure transparency, Ripple will enlist a third-party auditor to review its reserves and plans to release monthly reports verifying its holdings.
