**Bitcoin Miner Hits Jackpot with $180K Payday**
A solo Bitcoin miner has pulled off a rare feat by processing a block on their own, netting around $180,000. On September 10, Block 860749 was mined, containing 5,935 transactions, and rewarded 3.169 Bitcoin (BTC) to the mining pool Solo CK.
- Solo CK combines the hashrate of multiple smaller miners but rewards only the one who solves the block.
- The successful miner used 629 petahashes, a mere 0.098% of the total power securing the blockchain.
- Bitcoin's hashrate recently hit a record 742 exahashes per second (EH/s), making solo mining increasingly challenging.
Solo CK has solved 14 blocks in the past year, earning 59.3 BTC, worth $3.4 million. This marks another significant win for the pool, following a $200,000 reward on August 30 and a $210,000 reward on July 25.
