🚨 The FBI has issued a warning about a new advanced Android virus, SpyAgent, discovered by McAfee. This virus aims to steal Bitcoin private keys from users' phones.

📲 SpyAgent works by scanning and extracting text from photos and screenshots stored on your device using optical character recognition (OCR) technology. McAfee indicates that the main way SpyAgent is distributed is through malicious URLs sent via text messages.

Malware masquerades as legitimate applications such as banking, government or streaming services, forcing users to download it. However, once installed, the virus requests access to contacts, messages, and local storage to steal personal information.

🇰🇵 South Korea has become a major target for SpyAgent, with over 280 cases detected. In addition, another threat was the "Cthulhu Stealer" infection, which affects MacOS computers and also disguises itself as legitimate software.

It's worth noting that the remote-controllable malware is already being used to steal private keys and has been linked to fake cryptocurrency exchanges and job offers from a North Korean hacking group.

🚨 The FBI emphasizes the need to be cautious and avoid downloading apps from unverified sources and not clicking on suspicious links to protect digital assets.
