According to ChainCatcher, an Indian court has ordered the Ministry of Communications to shut down 38 websites that use the name of cryptocurrency exchange Mudrex to commit fraud.
After Mudrex filed a lawsuit in the Delhi High Court, the court ruled on August 23 that the Ministry of Communications must execute the order within a week. Previously, Mudrex took legal action after multiple users reported being scammed, and it is estimated that the number of victims may reach 1,000, with losses exceeding $50,000. These scammers impersonated Mudrex employees through Telegram and used fake websites to illegally collect funds.
