Matti of Zee Prime Capital pointed out in an article that innovation resources in the encryption field are scarce, and infrastructure has become a default response. He believes that the problem of innovation in the encryption field is not money, but creativity + execution. Currently, many large venture capital firms have to prove their worth while raising significant amounts of assets under management (AUM) from those who know little about the space. Matti predicts that the next innovation trigger will be funded by 1% of the capital that has flowed into cryptocurrency startups over the past few years, meaning that most of the money being channeled will be overtaken by very little capital to support creativity. He suggested that if investors must bet on infrastructure, consider experienced bear-market teams that have been building for years.
