PANews reported on August 19 that CryptoPunk#5822was sold for an undisclosed price and is currently held by an address starting with 0xc121. CryptoPunk 5822 was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the most expensive NFT collection in 2022. The NFT was purchased on February 12, 2022 by Deepak Thapliyal (deepak.eth), CEO of blockchain technology startup Chain.com, for 8,000 ETH (worth $23.7 million), the highest transaction price in the history of the CryptoPunk series of NFTs.
