PANews reported on August 13 that according to Bitcoin Magazine, Marathon Digital Holdings, a US bitcoin mining company, announced that all bitcoin blocks mined in the United States will now be labeled "Made in the USA." The company declared on X: "MARA is the American team, and every American-made bitcoin block we mine claims this."
Fred Thiel, CEO of Marathon Digital, highlighted this commitment, stating, “Every block mined by MARA Pool in the United States is stamped with ‘Made in the USA.’ We are the only large-scale miner that can do this because we operate our own mining pool and ensure that all blocks mined by MARA Pool are made in the USA.”
The move coincides with comments made by presidential candidate Donald Trump earlier this summer, who expressed a desire for “all remaining Bitcoin to be made in the United States,” as Trump believes that more Bitcoin mining in the United States will help the country achieve its goal of energy dominance.
