According to Odaily Planet Daily, James Butterfill, the head of research at cryptocurrency asset management company CoinShares, believes that the price of Bitcoin could reach $150,000 or $80,000 by 2025. If the $80,000 prediction by Butterfill is realized, it would be due to the failure of Trump’s promised pro-cryptocurrency policies. James Butterfill stated, "Disappointment surrounding the cryptocurrency policies proposed by Trump and skepticism about their implementation could trigger a significant market correction."

James Butterfill indicated that it is not "unreasonable" to expect Bitcoin's market cap to reach 25% of gold's market share (currently about 10%), which would equate to a price of $250,000 for Bitcoin. However, he does not believe this will happen next year. James Butterfill pointed out, "However, timing this aspect is difficult, and I do not think it will happen in 2025, but it will move in that direction." He stated that the likelihood of Bitcoin reaching $80,000 and $150,000 within a year is "very high."

James Butterfill expects a favorable regulatory environment in the U.S. to be a major driving force supporting Bitcoin's price. In 2023, CoinShares predicted Bitcoin’s price to be $80,000 in 2024.
