According to Odaily Planet Daily, the crypto payment platform MoonPay announced that it has obtained the MiCA license issued by the Netherlands Financial Market Authority. The MiCA regulations establish a unified legal framework for digital assets in the European Economic Area.
The platform said that after obtaining MiCA approval, it can continue to provide fiat-to-cryptocurrency and crypto-to-fiat payment services in Europe. Its business covers more than 180 countries and supports more than 100 digital assets.
The MiCA framework officially came into effect today, marking an important step forward for the European cryptocurrency sector.
