According to Cointelegraph, French financial market regulator AMF has approved the operation of Hexarq, the cryptocurrency subsidiary of French bank BPCE.

Hexarq is licensed as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) and can provide crypto custody, buying, selling and trading of cryptocurrencies and euros.

Hexarq plans to offer crypto investment services within the Banque Populaire and Caisse d'Épargne network in 2025. BPCE is one of the top ten banks in Europe with 35 million customers.

Hexarq is the fourth crypto business approved by the AMF, joining Société Générale’s Forge, Deblock SAS and GOin SAS.
