According to Odaily Planet Daily, pro-cryptocurrency lawyer John Deaton called for transparency in the controversy surrounding former U.S. SEC official William Hinman and demanded the disclosure of the SEC Inspector General's report on Hinman's potential conflicts of interest.

In a series of X posts, Deaton stressed that outgoing SEC Chairman Gary Gensler or incoming Chairman Paul Atkins needs to release the inspector general’s investigation findings. He noted that any credible investigation would confirm violations of U.S. financial conflict of interest laws.

Although the SEC inspector general's report may not find evidence of procedural misconduct by officials, the public has a right to know the findings.
