According to Odaily Planet Daily, Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett said that after the Senate Banking Committee gave up pushing for the nomination of anti-crypto SEC Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw for re-election, Crenshaw is still serving on the committee.

She could stay in office until her successor is confirmed, or until Congress adjourns next year. Under congressional procedure, the minority party typically recommends a candidate to fill a minority seat, and the president can decide whether to follow the recommendation.

Democrats may renominate Crenshaw at the request of Elizabeth Warren, but it will be up to the president to decide whether to renominate her.
