According to TechFlow, on August 7, The Block reported that Andrena, a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) project based on Solana, completed $18 million in financing to develop a decentralized autonomous wireless network (DAWN). The financing was led by Dragonfly, and other investors included CMT Digital, Castle Island Ventures, etc. Andrena co-founder Neil Chatterjee said that this round of financing was a SAFE structure, originally planned to raise $5 million, but was ultimately oversubscribed, raising $38 million.

DAWN aims to provide users with decentralized Internet services. Users can purchase its native tokens through mobile applications and use these tokens to purchase Internet bandwidth provided by the community. The network plans to cover 3 million households in the United States and plans to expand to Asia, Europe and Latin America. DAWN is currently running on the test network, and the specific main network and token launch time have not yet been determined.
