TechFlow reported on August 6 that according to The Block, U.S. Vice President Harris’ running mate Tim Walz promoted strict regulatory legislation for cryptocurrency self-service terminals while serving as governor of Minnesota, aiming to enhance consumer protection and market transparency.

Although Walz has not yet publicly stated his specific position on cryptocurrencies, according to a report from the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), his regulatory views are similar to those of Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren, who both advocate stricter regulation of the cryptocurrency industry.

Earlier news came out that Harris has chosen Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
