According to Cointelegraph, Swan Bitcoin sued its legal counsel Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, accusing it of legal malpractice. Swan claimed that Gibson accepted Tether as a client after representing it against Tether, and asked Swan to find another legal counsel.
Swan sued a former employee in September, accusing him of stealing software code to set up Proton Management, and said Proton persuaded Tether to sever ties with Swan. Gibson has applied to withdraw from Swan's case, saying that his legal relationship with Swan has completely broken down.
Swan asked the court to block Gibson from withdrawing from the agency and preventing it from accepting Tether as a client. The court will hold a hearing on November 26.
