According to Odaily Planet Daily, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood said that despite widespread opposition, SAB 121 still operates effectively as a regulation, although it has not gone through normal procedures.
Flood looks forward to working with the next SEC chairman to revoke SAB 121, and whether Gary Gensler leaves on his own or is fired, the new administration has the opportunity to start a new era. He added that Gensler opposed the digital asset regulatory framework passed earlier this year, which was passed by 71 Democrats and Republicans, and although the Senate refused to accept it, it may provide information for the new administration next year.
