A federal judge presiding over the case of former FTX CEO Sam “SBF” Bankman-Fried has scheduled sentencing hearings for FTX co-founder Gary Wang and former engineering director Nishad Singh.

In an entry filed July 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Judge Lewis Kaplan stated that Singh's sentencing is scheduled for October 30, while Wang's is scheduled for November 20.

Wang and Ellison were among the first to dispute accusations related to the 2022 collapse of now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX. Singh pleaded guilty to multiple charges in February 2023.

Ryan Salame, former co-CEO of FTX Digital Markets, also pleaded guilty to related charges but generally did not cooperate with authorities.

It is unclear whether Singh and Wang will face prison time for their roles in FTX's downfall, as both men cooperated with US authorities.

Bankman-Fried remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Facility in Brooklyn as his legal team prepares to appeal his conviction and sentence. Parties affected by FTX's collapse have placed different claims on the exchange's assets as the matter continues to progress through bankruptcy court and class action lawsuits.#FTX#Cryptocurrency#Judiciary#USA
