According to PANews, South Korean game company WeMade has initiated a civil lawsuit against about 20 employees regarding the performance bonus payment of its virtual asset WEMIX. The Seoul Central District Court held the first debate preparation meeting.
The plaintiff is an employee of WeMadeTree, a former subsidiary of WeMade, who claimed to have signed a compensation agreement with the company for the development of WEMIX and provided an email from the company promising compensation as evidence. WeMade denied the verbal agreement and only admitted that it had notified the company of the basic compensation plan.
The trial department pointed out that the plaintiff lacked a written contract, but the defendant's refusal to pay compensation was unreasonable. The next debate in the case is scheduled for March 21. WeMade is willing to negotiate with members to formulate a compensation plan contract.
