As Cointelegraph reported, U.S. prosecutors plan to conduct discovery in their criminal case against Do Kwon, including applying to search the Terraform Labs co-founder’s emails and Twitter account.

Prosecutors expect to find “multiple terabytes of data” related to Kwon’s case and plan to search Kwon’s social media accounts, transaction records and materials from other cryptocurrency exchanges.

Kwon faces nine felony charges in the U.S. for Terra-related fraud. On December 31, 2023, Montenegro extradited Kwon to the U.S.

Prosecutors filed a ninth charge against Kwon in 2024: money laundering conspiracy, similar to the Sam Bankman-Fried case. Prosecutors plan to ask Montenegro to waive professional rules to ensure the money laundering charge is established.
