According to Cointelegraph, U.S. prosecutors plan to conduct evidence discovery in the criminal case against Do Kwon, including seeking to search the emails and Twitter account of the Terraform Labs co-founder.
Prosecutors expect to find "multiple TB data" related to the Kwon case and plan to search Kwon's social media accounts, transaction records, and other materials from cryptocurrency exchanges.
Kwon faces nine felony charges in the U.S. for alleged fraud related to Terra. On December 31, 2023, Montenegro extradited Kwon to the U.S.
Prosecutors brought a ninth charge against Kwon in 2024: conspiracy to commit money laundering, similar to the case of Sam Bankman-Fried. Prosecutors plan to request Montenegro to waive professional rules to ensure the money laundering charges are substantiated.
