Bitcoin staking protocol Babylon announced that it will launch its second phase testnet on January 8, Foresight News reported.
Phase 2 block production will begin at 17:00 on January 8, 2020, and the staking web application will be launched at 18:00. Stakers in the Phase 1 testnet can register their stakes in Phase 2.
The second phase of the testnet will launch a test version of the Babylon Proof of Stake chain, which is jointly protected by Babylon and Signet Bitcoin stakes. The testnet only involves simulated test tokens and no incentives.
