According to Cointelegraph, PUBG founder Brendan Greene announced plans to develop a new generation of game-centric metaverse Artemis, but did not consider introducing NFTs.
Greene said that the current focus is on improving the game engine, and NFT is not under consideration. He believes that blockchain technology may be integrated at some stage in the future.
Greene believes that the current concept of the metaverse is overhyped, and he hopes to create a true 3D Internet that allows players to create and modify different worlds.
