El Salvador has agreed to make significant changes to its #politicas on Bitcoin to receive a loan of 1.4 billion dollars from the IMF. The reforms include making the acceptance of Bitcoin by the private sector voluntary and limiting the public sector's involvement in Bitcoin-related activities. Despite the initial adoption of Bitcoin in 2021, a recent survey shows that 92% of Salvadorans do not use Bitcoin for transactions.
