2025/02/12 Connecting to the Trillion-Level DePIN Track
On the morning of July 17, Silicon Valley time, IoTeX released the 2.0 version whitepaper, officially commencing a comprehensive upgrade. IoTeX was first created in 2017, and after 7 years, the 2.0 version of IoTeX will upgrade from a Layer 1 public chain to a modular DePIN open platform, which is currently the only ecosystem supporting the open, modular, and large-scale adoption of DePIN.
The whitepaper of IoTeX 2.0 showcases the industry landscape towards large-scale adoption of DePIN, technically building a solid foundation for the trillion-dollar DePIN track through modular infrastructure (DIMs), matching modular security pools (MSP), and a brand new economic flywheel.
Driven by the modular platform of IoTeX 2.0, lightweight construction, cross-ecosystem collaboration, and DePIN Layer 2 architectures can be realized, potentially transforming the development landscape of the DePIN track. This change enables the entire open ecosystem to connect over 100 million devices in the next 3 to 5 years, leading to breakthrough growth in the overall network value of IoTeX.
"As IoTeX has been leading the infrastructure of this track even before the concept of DePIN was born, the new upgrade will completely open up a high-speed channel to the trillion-level market," said Raullen, CEO and co-founder of IoTeX. "We hope developers, innovative builders, and visionary friends will join us on this journey of large-scale AI and DePIN applications, working together to create a future where the physical world and the digital world seamlessly merge, and to create unparalleled growth opportunities together."
IoTeX has already established partnerships with several well-known companies to promote the development of the Internet of Things and the DePIN architecture:
Google Cloud: IoTeX collaborates with Google Cloud to jointly build a trustworthy future for the Internet of Things, leveraging Google Cloud's powerful computing capabilities to support the rapid growth of the IoTeX network.
Huawei, Bosch, Ericsson, Lockheed Martin: These companies collaborate with IoTeX in the IEEE Blockchain IoT Identity Standardization Working Group to jointly formulate global standards.
Samsung Next: Samsung has invested in IoTeX's core development team, MachineFi Lab, supporting its vision to connect the real world with Web3.
Wemade: The South Korean gaming public company Wemade strategically invests in IoTeX, and both parties will cooperate in the fields of MachineFi and Metaverse GameFi.
