The Central Bank of Brazil (BC) wants to prohibit cryptocurrency users in the country from transferring stablecoins like USDT and USDC to self-custody wallets, such as MetaMask, BitgetWallet, Electrum, among others.

The BC's proposal is included in the public consultation CP 111 opened this Friday, the 29th, and which aims to establish rules for the exchange market with stablecoins.
