Players can own non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and influence game governance with the Gala Games ecosystem. The Founderâs Nodes voting mechanism allows players to control which games Gala should develop and which games should receive funding.
In addition to purchasing NFTs for specific games, Gala Games also utilizes GALA â its own utility token. So far, Gala Games has released one game â Town Star and a series of NFT collectibles â VOX. It plans to release more games in the future, including a fantasy RPG, a sci-fi strategy game, and a tower defense game.
Since its launch in 2019, Gala Games has grown to have 1.3 million active users, and 26,000 NFTs have been sold, with the most expensive item valued at $3 million.
