According to Odaily, Messari has released its '2024 DePIN Status' report, highlighting significant developments in decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN). The report reveals that over 13 million devices globally contribute to DePIN nodes, with four out of the five largest networks—Grass, Dawn, Roam, and Gradient—operating on Solana.

The report emphasizes the onset of a wireless revolution, noting that Helium Mobile has surpassed 100,000 mobile users. Additionally, DAWN provides WiFi to 1.5 million households, and Roam has recorded 82 million check-ins across 1 million global WiFi hotspots.

There is a notable surge in computational demand, as evidenced by Render's decentralized GPU network, which experienced a 325% revenue increase from the second to the fourth quarter of 2024.

The peer-to-peer energy market is also gaining traction. Starpower has deployed over 16,000 devices in Asia, while Srcful is pioneering a decentralized energy network in the EU. Meanwhile, Decharge is promoting its 7kW electric vehicle chargers in India and Southeast Asia.

The demand for proxy data is on the rise, with Geodnet's RTK base stations exceeding 10,000 units, NATIX mapping over 100 million kilometers, and Cudis achieving a mapping heart rate of over 2 million.

The first phase of DePIN's development has concluded, with acceleration anticipated in the near future.
