Proposal Aim and Scope
â Â The proposal should be clearly outlined with the goals and objectives and the motivating problem or opportunity. Be sure to highlight the implementation plan, anticipated impact, and how these align with the broader strategic goals and current trends.
Milestones
â Make sure that the proposal identifies clear project milestones that are easily trackable, and are associated with dates and proposed funding budgets.
Team
â A great team is important to have! Be sure to mention the core team members, their roles, and their experience in the Web3 space.
Showcase of Cartesi
â We care about strengthening the Cartesi community and ecosystem and expanding Web3 as a whole. Your proposal should reflect that! Weâd love to see an understanding of Cartesi tech and alignment with the project, as well as how the tech will be utilized in a meaningful way.
Tangibility
â Real use cases are something we look for in a project! Weâre looking for real-world applications of Cartesi and how it can drive possible broader adoption of Web3 tech. The proposal should demonstrate the likelihood of success.
Grant Size Justification

Wave 1 of the Cartesi Grants Program is a way to further grow the population of enthusiastic and value-aligned builders in the Cartesi ecosystem over the long-term. We want to boost projects that are building within a new cone of innovation as well as support all the behind-the-scenes work that makes it possible!
âŸïž Applications are open for 4 months, starting from today, January 30th, 2024.
âŸïž The Cartesi Grants Council will allocate 1,000,000 USDC in total across Waves 1 and 2.
âŸïž Wave 1 will support qualifying projects with a fund of 500,000 USDC.

The Cartesi Foundation released an updated transparency report showing in which ways it supported and contributed to the ecosystem.
@hellenstans, Cartesi's Grants Steward, announced that the CGP pilot has ended, but thatâs not the end of the initiative - something new is brewing! Read up on it here:
