The evolution of the Predictoor Simulator Analytics visual simulator.

This post is about one of Ocean Protocol's main products, Ocean Predictoor. Specifically about the changes that Predictoor Simulator Analytics.

It is now easier to use this simulator and the analytics is more powerful, this was achieved by switching from Matplotlob to Plotly & Dash.

The simulator is a developed tool for ‘predictors’ who run simulations of their predictor bots to test parameters.

Simulation can now display visualisations in the browser using

Dash to show bot accuracy, profits and more Limitations of matplotlib.

Despite its initial advantages, matplotlib created a few problems:

- It took up the entire screen and interfered with other tasks.

- Once closed, these areas could not be accessed again.

- The interactive functions were basic and limited detailed exploration of the data.

- It could only be used locally.

Everything was solved by switching to Plotly/Dash.

Plotly for the basic plots, Dash for the web application. It quickly became clear that it met our needs, including interactivity.

It offers:

- Advanced interactive elements for detailed data analysis.

- Web-based plots that can be accessed at any time and easily shared.

- Python compatibility to support rapid development.
