XOCIETY, a AAA third-person shooter game has concluded a $7.5 million pre-Series A funding round with success. Hashed and the Sui Foundation lead the round, while other well-known players including Spartan, Neoclassic, Bigbrain Holdings, and KRAFTON contributed as well.

With over 3000 users from 76 countries, over 11,000 hours of playtime, and over 77% of players retained for a week or more, XOCIETY’s beta test proved successful, and this funding builds on that success. In order to develop XOCIETY, Team NDUs is fusing RPG elements with a fresh incentive structure that highlights player skill and participation. With the introduction of the in-game corporation system, users may now own shares in and oversee their own firms and other economic organizations within the game world.

Jeffry Kim, founder of NDUS said:

Industry veterans like Myoungjin Lee, well known for his work on Ragnarok, and Sang Chung, the former Head of PlayDapp, are developing the game. They have a track record of creating captivating commercial-level gaming services.

Simon Kim, CEO & Managing Partner of Hashed, said:

“Our team’s experience is crucial in developing a high-quality, engaging game that stands out in the Web3 space.”

Greg Siourounis, Managing Director of Sui Foundation said:

“XOCIETY is a natural partner for Sui. Thanks to Sui’s high throughput, instant settlement speeds, dynamic on-chain assets, players will be able to experience the best of what gaming powered by web3 has to offer.”
