According to Odaily, Bitcoin Core developer Peter Todd has voiced his concerns about Starknet's entry into the Bitcoin expansion layer. In a post on platform X, Todd suggested that Starknet's move could be a good reason to oppose the activation of OP_CAT.

He warned that Starknet could potentially bring destructive MEV pranks to Bitcoin, similar to what has been observed in Ethereum. Todd also cautioned against investing large amounts of money into the newly formed STARKS, stating it to be unreliable. He cited the example of Eli's Zcash, which has been repeatedly exploited for token inflation.

Todd's comments highlight the potential risks and challenges associated with integrating new technologies into established cryptocurrencies. His concerns underscore the need for careful consideration and thorough evaluation before implementing such changes.
