According to CryptoPotato, Bitcoin experienced a significant increase in transaction volume last week, coinciding with a slight rise in its price. Data from IntoTheBlock reveals that the number of reported transactions for Bitcoin reached nearly 703,000, marking the highest transaction volume in almost two years. This surge in transactions occurred as Bitcoin's price reached the $27,000 level this week.

Additionally, the network saw an increase in daily active addresses. Data from Bitinforcharts shows that daily active addresses reached a multi-month high, rising from 754,000 two years ago to 1.08 million on September 15th. Interestingly, Ethereum briefly surpassed Bitcoin in terms of daily active addresses the day before. Despite the increase in on-chain activity, Bitcoin's trading volume has remained relatively consistent, suggesting that the heightened on-chain activities may not have translated into significant trading actions. The growing outflow of BTC from exchanges indicates a rising trend of holding and potentially making long-term investments in Bitcoin during this period.
