According to Foresight News, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin spoke at the Permissionless conference, suggesting that crypto-based social solutions could potentially be more decentralized, privacy-protecting, and secure than the current Web2 environment. He cited building blocks such as ENS, PoH proofs, and POAP, and envisioned a gradual process for new Web3 users to create an Ethereum address. Initially, this would be controlled by services like Gmail, but with account abstraction, people could gain ownership when they are ready to use more crypto-native methods.
