According to Foresight News, South Korea's Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) has announced the establishment of a special investigation team to examine the cryptocurrency transactions and holdings of lawmakers. The investigation will begin on September 18 and last for three months.

The team will consist of 30 professional investigators who will review the virtual assets acquired, traded, and lost by lawmakers in the country from May 30, 2020, when the 21st National Assembly term began, until May 31, 2021. The investigators will also compare the current status of these assets with the information previously voluntarily reported by lawmakers to the National Assembly Ethics Special Committee's Ethics Review Consultation Committee.
