**Kosovo Boosts Crypto Literacy with Multiday Workshop**

From September 24-26, Kosovo's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) leaders will join the CYBERKOP Action of the Octopus Project, an initiative by the Council of Europe, to host a workshop focused on cryptocurrencies.

**Key Points:**

- The workshop aims to enhance local expertise on digital currencies and Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs).

- Participants include financial intelligence experts, law enforcement, prosecutors, and the Central Bank of Kosovo.

- Goals include improving tools for tracing and confiscating illicit digital currency transactions and understanding legal frameworks.

- The EU and the US continue to support Kosovo, with the EU implementing the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) to govern the crypto space.

This initiative marks a significant step in Kosovo's efforts to strengthen its financial infrastructure and regulatory capabilities in the evolving world of digital currencies.
