In a significant development for The Open Network (TON) ecosystem, MyTonWallet, a self-custodial wallet, has announced its integration with the Tron blockchain.
As of September 23, the wallet will support Tron’s native token TRX, Tether’s USDT, and other assets using the TRC-20 token standard. This makes MyTonWallet the first wallet within the TON ecosystem to offer support for Tron-based assets, marking a major step toward blockchain interoperability.
According to MyTonWallet founder Alexander Zinchuk, this integration is a foundational move towards broader adoption of the TON ecosystem. Zinchuk emphasized the importance of managing assets across multiple blockchains, noting that this feature would help bridge ecosystems and attract a wider user base.
