After months of anticipation, Catizen’s token launch for their innovative tap-to-win game on Telegram is finally here—albeit two months later than planned. As part of the first season, 150 million CATI tokens (15% of the total 1 billion supply) have been airdropped to lucky users.

Out of the 340 million CATI tokens allocated for airdrop events, 190 million are still set to be distributed through future campaigns. However, some players voiced concerns on social media about the conditions surrounding the airdrops.

Interestingly, 9% of the total token supply was directed to Binance Launchpool, with the rest distributed as follows:

5% for liquidity

15% to the treasury

20% to the team

10% to investors

7% to advisors

These categories come with a 12-month lockup period and a 48-month distribution schedule.

With over 39 million total users and 18 million monthly users, Catizen is making waves! Telegram CEO Pavel Durov even shared that in-app purchases brought in over $16 million in revenue just last July.
