India's Supreme Court YouTube channel broadcasts encrypted ads, suspected to have been hacked

Foresight News, according to a report by Bloomberg, the official YouTube channel used by the Supreme Court of India for live-streaming court proceedings was allegedly hacked on Friday, with cryptocurrency advertisements being played. The channel had uploaded videos related to cryptocurrency products. Subsequently, the entire page has been deleted.

The Supreme Court of India has been using YouTube to live-stream important constitutional cases to the audience, and the channel had archived recordings of the court proceedings. However, the currently archived videos have been set to private and are no longer publicly accessible, with the homepage displaying a blank video with a title mentioning cryptocurrency. The Supreme Court officials did not respond to emails and phone calls seeking comment.
