Germany's Bitcoin wallet, which held BTC seized from a film piracy website in January, is down to just 18% of its original amount. The wallet has been transferring large amounts of Bitcoin to crypto exchanges since June 19, with a significant increase in activity in July. On July 11, the wallet's balance briefly fell below 5,000 BTC after transferring 10,620 BTC ($615 million) to trading platforms Coinbase, Bitstamp, Kraken, Flow Traders, and two anonymous addresses. Some funds were later returned, bringing Germany's Bitcoin holdings back above 9,000 BTC. The sell-off has been criticized by some, including German lawmaker and Bitcoin activist Joana Cotar.
