Ethereum's co-founders, Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Lubin, have been discussing the future of Ethereum at a week-long event in Brussels. They've been praising the advent of zero-knowledge proof (ZK-proof) powered layer 2s as the key to Ethereum's development. Lubin said, "We have achieved scalability, we've achieved affordability, and weโ€™re really close to achieving usability." Buterin, meanwhile, focused on the challenges for Ethereum as a base layer for its L2-centric approach. He highlighted the barriers to solo and pooled staking, and the risk of censorship. Buterin also proposed increasing the quorum threshold to 75% or more to combat network attacks. ๐Ÿš€
