Coinspeaker Bybit Launches Bybit Card in Argentina for Seamless Crypto Use

Bybit, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange boasting 33 million users, has solidified its presence in Argentina with the launch of Bybit Card. This launch empowers users in the region to seamlessly use digital assets in everyday transactions, with added security and convenience.

The cryptocurrency industry has grown significantly in Argentina over the past few years, drawing in both businesses and investors. It is one of three countries that make up the top 20 of the Global Crypto Adoption Index, according to Chainalysis. In response to the debut in the region, Joan Han, Sales and Marketing Director of Bybit, states:

“The swift expansion of digital assets in Argentina has generated a need for creative solutions that improve financial inclusion and ease. We are thrilled to introduce the Bybit Card to Argentina, providing our customers with a special chance to profit from the expansion of digital assets and take advantage of the ease of regular spending.”

Launch Details

As per the announcement, the Dubai-based trading platform is celebrating this milestone by rolling out welcome packs for Bybit Card users. New applicants for the Bybit Card will receive a bonus of 10,000 Argentine Peso (ARS). Additionally, they can benefit from up to 10% cashback on all their expenses.

Moreover, existing cardholders who link their card to popular local payment platforms like Mercado Pago will also get an additional 10% cashback on every purchase made using the Bybit Card.

Bybit partnered with Mastercard in March 2023 to launch its Bybit Crypto Card. The rollout began with the release of virtual cards for online shopping in European countries. The exchange plans to extend this offering further, aiming to provide users with versatile options for managing their digital assets.

Last month, Bybit Card integrated the support for Apple Pay, allowing users to buy crypto assets on iPhone, iPad, and Mac easily.

Bybit’s Success Story

Bybit has recently become the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange globally by trading volume, trailing behind Binance. This follows the failure of the once-leading exchange FTX in 2022. Since October 2023, Bybit’s market share has doubled to 16%, surpassing rival exchange Coinbase in March.

Bybit has been active on the international stage to expand its offerings and services. In June, it sponsored two major events in Switzerland, amidst the evolving Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulatory framework.

The exchange has also joined forces with the Formula One champions, Oracle Red Bull Racing, creating a connection between crypto investors and sports enthusiasts.
