FOX reporter: Since Harris herself has never publicly stated her position, team members cannot make commitments while attempting to restore relations in the cryptocurrency sector. FOX Business reporter Eleanor Terrett posted on platform X that she and Democrats in the government and the cryptocurrency industry discussed "the Harris team’s efforts to restore relations with the crypto industry." The Harris campaign team has done extensive preparatory work for the meeting on restoring relations, but since no one is sure of Harris's views on cryptocurrency policy, team members can only say and do a limited number of things. In previous meetings, the Harris team showed a "willingness to listen but not make promises." Eleanor added that Democrats in the industry are mobilizing support for Harris, but this mobilization will be more effective for voters if they can gain a clearer understanding of her own views on digital asset policy. It would be a significant step forward if we could see and hear the Vice President speak at tomorrow's Crypto4Harris meeting. Earlier on August 8, Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna held a meeting on behalf of the Harris team to restore relations in the cryptocurrency industry.

U.S. stock futures showed little change on Wednesday as investors awaited important July consumer inflation data for confirmation that price growth continues to slow. During regular trading on Tuesday, the Dow and S&P 500 indices rose by 1.04% and 1.69%, respectively, while the Nasdaq Composite climbed 2.43%. These gains came as investors reacted positively to lower-than-expected producer inflation data, which supported bets on a more significant rate cut by the Federal Reserve in September. Chipmakers and other tech giants led the gains, including Nvidia (6.5%), AMD (3.2%), SMCI (4.9%), Tesla (5.2%), and Meta Platforms (2.4%). Starbucks also surged 24.5% following the appointment of Brian Niccol from Chipotle as the new CEO, signaling a potential shift. Meanwhile, Alphabet's shares fell 0.8% in extended trading on news that the U.S. Department of Justice is considering breaking up Google over antitrust issues.
