#btc #eth 🤖In this round of the bull market, Bitcoin has broken new highs, while the second largest cryptocurrency, Ethereum, has performed poorly. I believe there are three main reasons:
1. Ethereum prioritizes security and decentralization, sacrificing scalability and leaving this issue to Layer 2 solutions. However, now various project teams want to go solo, distancing themselves from Ethereum;
2. Due to reason 1, gas fees have significantly decreased.
3. The expectations for Ethereum's future are not high; the public only wants to make money, disregarding technology and focusing solely on profits, as evidenced by the explosive rise of the meme sector.
Personal opinion: In the long term, I am optimistic about Ethereum, which focuses on decentralization and solving the 51% attack issue. The profit effect is not obvious in the short term, but I am optimistic in the long and very long term. One can allocate a small portion of funds monthly to dollar-cost average into Ethereum, accumulating enough for basic staking mining.
