The new L2 gaming infrastructure project Sonic on the Solana blockchain attracted more than 100,000 unique wallets and processed more than 17 million transactions in the first week of the launch of its Sonic Testnet Odyssey test network. 🚀

Sonic is the first Layer-2 atomic SVM built specifically for Solana games. The protocol offers many built-in mechanisms to support game development and execution on Solana, including custom game primitives, sandboxing, and extensible data types, while leveraging Solana's high speed to deliver the fastest gaming experiences on the blockchain. 🎮

Most of the transactions come from users interacting with games built on Sonic. These games include titles such as Jogojogo, Fomoney, Rage Effect and Lowlife Forms.

Sonic has already announced growth plans such as ecosystem grants and acceleration programs that help quickly integrate developers into the Sonic SVM and HyperGrid Framework. HyperGrid allows developers to simplify the deployment of game engines and virtual machines on Solana.

Sonic recently released its first major update to Sonic Testnet Odyssey, increasing its speed and stability to meet high demand.
