According to cryptoslate, on June 26, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said in the Bankless podcast that blockchain technology can enhance the resilience of democratic systems through secure, anonymous communications and verifiable voting mechanisms, and counter the "efficiency" advantages of authoritarian regimes.

Economist Noah Smith pointed out that authoritarian countries use the Internet to centralize data to quickly respond to turmoil, while liberal democracies face challenges of information chaos and false information. Vitalik added that information monopoly may become a stable balance, but blockchain technology can provide decentralized solutions to enhance the resilience of democratic systems.
